What We Do
Our clientele are individuals (youth, young adults, seniors) and families who are in need of short term assistance with food insecurities. We provide food supplies in an emergency hamper to last them 3-4 days. We also provide support to School Lunch Programs and local Senior centres. We also refer clients to other organizations throughout the city to help address their needs. Our Annual Christmas Hamper provides a Christmas 'Meal' as well as regular hamper items and gifts for children 0 - 16 years as well as stocking stuffers.
Our Foodbank is operated by volunteers and all supplies are donated or purchased with financial donations. Annual fundraisers help to offset the costs of building operations (utilities, etc).
Our current corporate donors provide us with food and other goods to provide directly to our clients as well as products used in the Christmas Hamper Program and as fundraising items.
We are fortunate to have several charitable organizations who do Food Drives as well as financially supporting us with donations.
Many individuals throughout Calgary generously donate to our program and have for many years.
